My custom neighborhood!

OK, so, I've slowed down in conversions and I've been posting up random stuff, because I've been hard at work on my own custom neighborhood. I am finally at a place where I can play and show it off! All the townies are custom-created and represent a spread of all the races represented in Warcraft. Here's some of them in the wild:

Right now, the main neighborhood lacks tauren, undead, worgen, goblins, and pandaren. Three will get their own vacation neighborhood (goblins - Twiikii, pandaren - Takemizu, worgen - Three Lakes). I'm still working on skins for the tauren and I just haven't gotten around to undead yet. ;)

I'm in the process of moving all my previously-created Sims over to the new neighborhood. Stay tuned!

I'm sure there's much better clothes that I could put Skyborne in, but I wasn't sure what, so as with Grenka and Astrani I went by the profile picture. :p

They were a pretty fun couple. First a pillow fight, then a water balloon fight...

Corri and Gale: Real RP storytelling (3/20)

After doing some messing around with poseboxes, I decided that I would try using the Sims to create images to go along with the text-based RP that Galedorin and I have done. It kind of took forever going since I don't have a lot of experience with this, but I'm sure it will go faster as I get used to what all the posebox options are and everything. All the captions are lifted from the chatlog. This, of course, represents a colossal misuse of my time but I hope other people will think that it's cool.

To clarify: Corrienda is very pregnant with their second child, and was put on pelvic rest prior to these events for fear of preterm labor. Their son Myrodan is present the whole time, it's just a pain to pose toddlers so I didn't mess with it. :P

Corrienda paints in watercolors a scene that is fairly abstract so far, but  does include small figures in the lower right hand corner.

Corri & Gale: Winter Fun

At Gale and Corri's, it had started snowing pretty seriously! Gale and Myrodan went out to play:

Feathermoon: Yva, Tarquin, and Annalea

So, I went around to do a few updates to reflect current RP, such as making Yva be pregnant. (Gotta admit, I did it via hack - Sim!Yva and Sim !Tiberious haven't actually even met each other yet. >.>) Yva embraced her RP-inspired reality with gusto:

Corri & Gale: Fun with Poseboxes

Had some fun with poseboxes last night - MayPink's Pinup posebox, MayPink's Lovers 3 posebox, and Kitty's Against the Wall posebox. The couples ones were a pain in the butt to get working right - even with snapping objects to grid turned off, every time I'd get my Sims close to one another, they'd go sideways and all wonky. So frustrating! But I finally managed to get it. Maybe I'll try again tonight.

Dwyndle, our resident gnomish nun, designed a ridiculous confection of a wedding dress for Fells. I had a vision of my head of how that would work and I had to realize it.

She's really supposed to have a ponytail, but that hat is SPOT ON.

Just a quickie - here's Varenna and Silveria:

They live in the same apartments as Malanie, Flo, and Lyirdanna's family. I'm not thrilled with Varenna's dress - I need t find something a bit more period appropriate. Also, apparently Varenna has been harboring a secret crush on Malanie - she was super intent on flirting with her pretty much as soon as they met. I had to intervene to get her to pay attention to Silvy.

Yes, I'm spending way too much time doing this. What can I say, controlling you people is fun.

Corri & Gale: Honeymoon

Because Bon Voyage was a super fun expansion pack once they got the bugs all worked out. And who doesn't love a beach vacation?

Feathermoon: Fearinal and Zhàlar

As I tried to decide who to do next I asked myself - Why the heck haven't I done Fearinal's family? Fearinal-player's big into the Sims, it'd be fun, right?

Look how cute they are! There's Fearinal and Zhàlar, plus Fearinal's biological son Meldarion and their adopted son Brennan.

Corri and Gale: Wedding Edition

Not because anything hilarious happened in it, but weddings are fun, amirite?

Just before it started:

I had to get rather hacky to 1) have the wedding on a community lot rather than at home, and 2) to have lots of guests. BUT THERE WE GO. And most of them even stuck around to watch!

I started off with Torriah and Folorin with them, but I was having trouble finding a house that would fit them all, so I separated the families. (And, of course, as soon as I did that I found a house that would have worked perfectly. OH WELL.)

OK, the horns are too big, and I need to recolor the horns, ears, and tail, and I need to adjust the outfit a teeny bit, and he'll never look quite right because he doesn't have that hunch that "real" Taurens do. BUT LOOK AT HIS COW FACE IT'S KINDA CLOSE RIGHT?

Through the magic of Sims-land, he gets to wear an eyepatch AND the Nordrassil garb at the SAME TIME.

Feathermoon: Mesion

Had some free time this weekend, and I thought I'd be crazy and make another mesh. Here's Mesion!

He's got the druid Nordrassil recolor set that the Guardians of Hyjal druids all wear. His beard is scruffier than it is supposed to be, but after making new meshes for the clothes, the hat, and the hair, I decided I didn't want to mess with it.

Anyway, I didn't have a lot of time to actually play with him since creating stuff took so long, but here's a couple shots of him in action:

There was an option on the Sim interact menu that I didn't recognize - it's probably always been there but I hadn't seen it before. I picked it and he started rapping.

True story: One third of all the vertices in this body are in his feet. Hurray for TOES!
